Title taken from The Smashing Pumpkins 'Doomdsday Clock'. I can't think of a song that fits any better to the theme of Watchmen than Doomsday Clock. Dan's dream sequence with Laurie, with the nuclear bomb explosion, was positively breathtaking. I remember watching that scene in theaters and I literally held my breath (for some reason) for the entire scene. Gah, such an amazing, inspiring movie. Anywho, I started this drawing last night at like...2 in the morning while watching CSI I finished coloring it this morning and I just now finished retouching it in CS4. Signature added digitally because I varnished the paper too soon Done in prismacolor pencils and Koh-I-Noor pigment sticks.
P.S. for fans of this version, I just thought I'd give you fair warning that I plan to redo this piece and replace the file with the updated version. Just so you know. Now you know
Loved this moment, too (although, kind of a shame they cut the Twilight Lady out of it). Fantastic job. Love all the colors and the shading is perfect.
True, I suppose. I hadn't thought of that. It just seemed like a better alagory for the dream. He's unable to perform sexually, then he remembers a younger, more verile version of himself. All that stuff about him needing his suit, and needing to fight crime, and just really needing to be Nite Owl.
But you're totally right. They would have had to cast someone else with no speaking lines, then we'd all see her nude and most people would be like .

In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

I think people would have been confused by Twilight Lady if they used her.
